... went back to my optician who was appalled and referred me back. I eventually saw my consultant who confirmed that the wet macular had come back with a vengeance in both eyes. I am now having injections every 6 weeks. He also said that the Trust won't let them have the money to make sure they can keep these vital injections going. I think there maybe too many over paid executives. A hospital is for patients.
My son has had 4 ent appointments cancelled this year and it's getting ridiculous. I'm also taking on behalf of friends as we are one of about 8 families that have children waiting to be seen by the ent get appointments but then the ENT just cancel. Not option of a different appointment just left to wait again. This is getting stupid and ridiculous as I talk on behalf of my son he needs to be seen soon.
Gastroenterology. Had a biopsy 8 weeks ago. Still waiting for results. Department does not reply when called. In the meantime I’m struggling with pain and it’s interfering with daily life. Gp can’t help with medication until the results are sent. It’s not fair and is a very unkind way to treat patients.
... ult for me to hear. When she left, I had no idea what she had said. After a little while a porter appeared with a wheelchair, packed my things up and took me to another ward. I had no idea this was going to happen, and it really upset me. I was in tears and found it very stressful.
When I got to the next ward, which was Marham I was still crying and the nurse who met me was so kind she sat with me for quite a while. She listened to me and reassured me.
It can be very isolating when you can’t hear. It was an awful experience, and the thing is I wouldn’t have minded being moved if only someone had explained what was happening.
My grandad was in the unit for end of life care and they couldn't have been more wonderful. My mum stayed with him for a week and they brought her in a bed, pillows and a duvet. There is a phenomenal matron.
... vision in my left eye. A big thank you to all concerned. In fact during the last 31 years of attending the main hospital for various ailments, including kidney cancer, I can honestly say I haven't experienced any failings.
I was admitted to the hospital with an infection, was prescribed antibiotics and sent home the next day which was a Friday. I was then brought back again on the Monday with the same thing. It seemed like they just wanted to get me out, it didn't seem like they were bothered about how I was. If they had looked after me properly the first time I wouldn't have had to go back. It was terrible.
I've waited since last October for a gynaecology appointment and it's something I'm concerned about. I was given one in March which I couldn't attend and it was re-booked for May, which the hospital cancelled. Then I got a letter to say I'd missed my appointment last week but I didn't know I had one. I called and they did apologise for their mistake. I have one booked now for August.
The staff seemed poorly trained there was poor if any communication between staff. there was no one to take charge of any situation.
people called in for appointments that the hospital were unaware of people asking for pain relief for hours. you are not a human your just meat in a bed they have no care for the people in there.
this is a dangerous hospital
... taken to the Discharge Lounge around 2pm.
He has found his time on the CCU to be really comfortable, like staying in a private hotel! The food is really nice and it's a good menu, with lots of regular refreshments. He has found the staff in the DL to all be very friendly too.
