Service very bad. My child was issued a prescription eyeglasses for the fist time. Optometrist was insisting to get a special lenses worth of £300. My child is only 13 years old and eyesight was not significant bad.None of the staff came to ask if we need a help with choosing the frames or any other help. The stuff was just sitting chatting and laughing between themselves. After we chosen the frame we waited another 20min. I needed to approach the stuff to make someone come to see us. We never ... ever will go back to the branch at Castle Street Norwich.

Rude patronising optician
I walked in and the optician greeted me abruptly with 'sit down there', no hello or niceties. And it went on like this and he was patronising and rude in his short abrupt and unhelpful explanations. I didn't feel I could complain afterwards as his door was open immediately behind the reception desk.

Time keeping poor
Appointment was 9 and the optician rolled in 10 past then a man with no appointment went in and was seen before me.

2 minutes over your allowance time for appoin
Due to heavy traffic into kings Lynn I arrived 7 minutes late according to your computer and was told couldn’t have the appointment. Considering I have spent thousands with boots both on hearing and glasses it’s absolutely ludicrous.

Genuinely impressed by the service
I visited Boots Opticians, Castle Mall a couple of months ago for an eye test and replacement glasses, one of which was a special pair for my hobby. I genuinely found the staff to be delightful: most were training but were keen and enthusiastic in every way: if they didn’t know, they said so and made sure they found out.

The optometrist, also training, was equally lovely and for the first time ever, reassured me by setting a context for my eye sight. He was careful to double check that every
... thing with the prescriptions would be just so.

I have had other similar experiences with this optician’s recently through two family members and can say, even down to a reminder phone call, the staff were equally helpful and very pleasant. I like the ethos Boots Optician is trying to develop and would definitely recommend them to others.

No appointments for varifocals
What a waste of time. I had my eye test here which seems fine but when I went to purchase my glasses there is no one to fit me. They only work mornings. Awful reception staff.

Referral for cataracts to be removed
I had not been getting very far with previous opticians regarding my eye sight getting worse because of cataracts but they referred me quickly and good customer service when explaining everything before and after having my cataracts removed an implant put in

Ringing Norwich and Yarmouth store
I am ringing constantly either branch no one answers I need to have a repeat prescription for my 5 yr old I live 40 mins away the least someone can do is answer a phone. Rang direct to book app but same response . Why do you not have someone who can answer and take messages or book appointment?

Horrible staff
Went to get a contact lens solution, very rude lady at the reception.
